It was not a problem at all. In fact, we had a blast. When I was scared to jump into the waterfall pool, there he was again assuring me I would be ok and helping me scale the rocks. Around every turn I was able to trust him which allowed me to experience things I might have been too scared to do. I'm a florida girl and I'm only used to flat terrain! All in all, we ended up having one of the best days of our lives exploring this beautiful country! We will be back and will make sure we get to have fun with him again!   We read the reviews before heading out with this outfit and the experience we had was NOTHING like what was described. We understood a ride on the beach to some... read more tide pools. What we got was a pretty terrifying ride up (and even worse - down) what seemed like 1000 plus foot altitude into the jungle. We were not at all prepared for it and did not feel like we had the experience nor instruction to do it.

In the end, we enjoyed the experience with our guide and the views, but they need to do a much better job of explaining what you are in for before you go.

We got to see and swim in the waterfall, drank some sugar-cane moonshine at Marta’s place in Lajas, hung out with Pocho and his pet bird and seen the lovely Valerie at Chupitos.
